What to expect during a reading.
Whether you’ve never had a reading before or are a well-seasoned ‘sitter’, every reader has a different style. Here’s what to expect if you make a booking with me.
I’m a medium.
As a spiritual medium, I communicate directly with spirit using extrasensory perception. I have access to all six senses, but my main tools are seeing, hearing, and knowing.
I see images of the future, and of your loved ones in spirit, through my mind’s eye (and sometimes just standing right next to you!). I hear special turns of phrase that your guides want you to hear. And sometimes I just know things but cannot explain why.
I don’t usually use cards in my readings (unless you’ve specifically booked this), but for some people, cards can help to reinforce the messages spirit is giving. In this case, spirit will let me know.
Readings work over any distance.
Whether you’ve booked a reading with me in person, online, or over the phone, you can rest assured that your loved ones and guides will show up! Spirit is not limited by the constraints of the physical world and can travel between places in an instant. They can even appear in more than one place at a time.
I can tell you about your future.
Regardless of why you’ve booked a reading, your loved ones in spirit will want to help you get to where you need to be. This means they’ll be sharing a lot of information about your life and what is to come over the next weeks, months, and years. Make sure you pay close attention! Not only will you receive insights about what awaits you, but also advice on how to get there.
Remember: you are responsible for your own outcomes. If I reveal something in your future that you do not like, or if you simply wish to change paths, you can always do so. Freewill is the greatest determiner of destiny.
You’ll meet old friends and new.
During a reading, you can expect to connect with passed loved ones—whether they be family, friends, or fur babies. Sometimes the beings who come through may surprise you, as you might only be distantly acquainted with them and/or they may want you to pass on a message to someone else.
It is also possible for the souls of living people to come through if they have an important message to convey that they are unable—or unwilling—to give in this reality.
Other beings, such as your spirit guides, angels, and higher self, may also come through. You might even be visited by versions of yourself from past lives, but generally, these will only show themselves if you are open, receptive, and interested in learning about them.
Be open.
Although you’re welcome to book a reading and simply take the information without giving too much away, there is more flow—and more to gain—by giving a little bit back. This might mean simply answering yes or no to show that you understand what is being said, or you might want to provide more detail to get accurate information faster.
This also means that if something is said that sounds right but is only 90% correct, such as a similar name, relationship, appearance, etc., just say so. Spirit communicates in ways that can be unfamiliar and unexpected, and sometimes the reader (me) needs help to interpret what they are saying.
Don’t be scared.
Nothing can harm you during a reading. The vibrational energy I create before starting a reading does not allow anything negative to come through. And, if it is necessary to discuss a darker topic, it is always done in a safe, empathic way.
If a spirit comes through that you do not wish to speak to, simply say so and we can move on.
Your guides will not share anything about your life that you are not ready to hear. I am not interested in your mind. And, if any secrets do come up, the information is 100% confidential.
Take notes.
During a reading, you can expect to receive a lot of information fast. You are encouraged to record your reading or take notes throughout.
If you are writing things down, make sure you jot down all advice and predictions.
It is easy for the human mind to home in on certain things and disregard others. Allow yourself to take it all in to get the most out of your reading.
